Pros | 2 carry methods, picture pocket, spacious | High quality, machine washable, fun designs | Well-padded straps, metal feet, multiple carry options, wipes clean | High-quality materials, great organization, useful included accessories | Perfect size, included changing pad, stylish design |
Cons | Hard to keep organized, narrow shoulder straps | Expensive, needs extra insulated area | Harder to adjust straps, only one insulated pocket | Does not fit all pumps, not laptop friendly, heavy | Lower quality, fewer pockets, poor structure |
Bottom Line | Spacious, easy to clean bag that holds lots of supplies, but can turn into a black hole with subpar organization | A high-quality favorite that offers multiple features with a stylish look, but is heavy and expensive | A lightweight yet roomy and versatile carry bag that can hold larger pumps while you use them, and is comfortable to carry | A bag that provides next-level organization with dual compartments and sturdy materials, but will not fit larger pumps | Large capacity and multi-functional tote that doubles as a diaper bag, but is not good quality |

Our Analysis and Test Results
In 2011, a new working mother, Sarah Wells, was pumping at work for her daughter. Sarah was disappointed with the bags available for carrying her pump, accessories, and personal items to and from work. As a result, Sarah designed a new kind of breast pump bag naming it for her daughter (Maddy). In 2013, Sarah Wells launched its first widely available bag and continue to make a variety of quality options today.
Performance Comparison
Ease of Use
This bag is fairly easy to use, but it could use more internal organization and utilizing a separate organizing system could be really useful with the Lizzy. We like that you can use the pump while it stays in the bag and the insulated pockets are nice even if you need to supply your own icepacks.
Quality
The Lizzy uses durable nylon that is thick and easy to clean. The strap connections are double stitched and the hardware is higher quality. This bag sports metal feet to keep the bottom clean and the zippers run smoothly. Sarah Wells has a lifetime warranty should anything go wrong, but the materials are nice and the bag looks like it will last for a long time.
Weight/Bulk
The Lizzy is a larger bag that is relatively lightweight with an empty weight of 1.4 lbs. The bag itself has ample room for lots of supplies, so you'll want to be careful not to overfill the bag or it could become quite heavy. This is not a bag that will fit in smaller spaces, but it will accommodate all your supplies which is the trade-off.
Features
The Lizzy has several features for organization including outside and internal pockets. This bag features two side pockets for your pump and accessories. The pockets are insulated and can keep items cool up to 6 hours with the use of ice packs. When you aren't carrying a pump, the pockets can be pushed aside to open more space in the main compartment. The bag fits all portable pumps and 13-15 inch laptops with a case in place.
The bag can be carried with dual shoulder straps or an adjustable crossbody strap. Neither are padded and we think it would be nice if the crossbody strap were thicker or had some padding for comfort. The Lizzy also has a picture pocket so you can gaze on your little one when pumping which some experts believe increases milk production or "letdown."
Style
This stylish bag comes in a variety of colors/patterns. The style is simple and functional with attention to detail that allows it to blend into a variety of situations from lunch to business meetings. We think this bag is discrete enough to work for other uses when your pumping days are over including everything from a diaper bag to a travel companion.
