Ju-Ju-Be bags are thoughtfully designed to create a cute and stylish tote that doesn't make you feel like you're lugging a diaper bag. We were pleased to discover that it is also an easy bag to use. With three carrying options (handbag/briefcase, shoulder bag, or backpack) moms can easily configure the bag to a mode of transport they desire for comfort or style. Everywhere we went the Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. Legacy got attention. Moms and dads praised its style and fell in love further when we showed them the interior.
The B.F.F. is constructed of quality materials, and it shows. While initially concerned with how the fabric would hold up, we found the TeflonĀ® coating on the exterior kept the bag looking just as lovely as the day it arrived. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the interior as the lighter fabric showed every spill, but this was not enough to deter our affection, as the bag is machine washable. We fell in love with the heavily weighted gold-colored hardware, and the zippers held up well through heavy use.
Loaded with great features, this bag performed at the top of the pack. Some of the highlights include AgION antimicrobial treatment of the bag, removable shoulder and backpack straps, five exterior pockets (two zip closures and three open slots), memory-foam changing pad, stroller clip compatibility, machine wash option, a bungee cord key ring, eyeglass cleaning cloth (genius!) and a plethora of interior pockets to store change, a photo or other loose items.
Dislikes
It was difficult to find things that we didn't like about this bag. But every good thing does have its downsides. The Legacy was one of the heavier bags we tested. At 2.8 lbs, it outweighed every other bag in the competition except for a few. We attribute the majority of this extra weight to the heavy metal fixtures. Also note that sometimes the metal hardware can clink together, which can be annoying. A simple fix is to tuck them inside the bag.
While most users share positive experiences about the B.F.F., there have been several reports of faulty zippers. There have been issues with them falling off or the hardware not working, which is a bummer. While this was not part of our testing experience, it is essential to consider and double-check if you choose this bag to avoid losing items or displeasure later.
The B.F.F. is expensive. While this bag sports tons of great features, should last a while and is super cute, you will need to make sure that it fits the budget. Overall, we feel that with the great quality of the bag, it should be a good investment that will last through your diapering years.
Conclusion
The Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. is our Editors' Choice bag for great reasons. We love how versatile it is, multiple designs to choose from, the great organization it offers, and the ability to easily wipe it clean. We think that this bag is a top choice if your budget allows it.
