Our Analysis

Modeled after moccasins, these infant shoes have plush Genuine Grade A sheepskin lining to keep baby's feet warm and comfortable. The suede sole and reinforced toe and heel allow baby's feet to stay safe and steady on the floor. Designed for indoor use only, these popular UGG booties have a fold-up/down cuff and a cinch-pull on the back for better fitting, and are available in Baby Pink, Bomber Jacket Chocolate, Chestnut, Sand and Navy Blue. Sizes may run large, with a small fitting some babies toward the end of their first year.

We think these booties are especially great if mom and baby want to dress like twins, as UGG Australia also makes similar boots for grown women, first made famous by Oprah Winfrey and her Favorite Things list in 2003.

The most commonly cited likes for this product are:

  • Warm
  • Comfortable
  • Fashionable
  • Helps keep baby feet safe and secure on the floor
  • Built to last, can make great hand-me-downs

User reviews frequently note these disadvantages:

  • Sizes may run large

These booties are one of our two favorite infant booties, the other being the Robeez Classic Soft Soles Boots. In comparison:

  • The Robeez allow baby to better feel their feet on the ground, and thus are preferred for infants learning to walk
  • We consider the Ugg Booties to be favorites for toddlers or babies who have already mastered walking
