This recall involves the thru-bolt axle offered free by Britax/BOB as one of the possible incentives to eligible consumers related to the BOB Information Campaign announced on January 10, 2019. The model number of the thru-bolt axle is S11393700 and is intended for use with BOB Jogging Strollers made between 1/1/2009 to 9/30/2015.

Concern/Hazard


The modified thru-bolt axle can fracture.

Confirmed Incidents


There have been 8 reported incidents of the replacement modified thru-bolt provided thru the campaign fracturing during use. There have been no reports of injuries in relation to the modified thru-bolt axle.

Remedy


Consumers should stop using the modified thru-bolt axle immediately and contact Britax for a free replacement thru-bolt axle. Britax is contacting consumers who received the thru-bolt axles to provide a free replacement thru-bolt axle.
