Boppy has been making its pillow for twenty-five years and it shows; their original is easy to use and easy to clean, scoring a 9 out of 10 in both categories. However the c-shape does not provide the most secure fit, especially when compared to the newer Boppy Nursing Pillow.

Cons: Eays for baby to slip towards mom

Our Analysis and Test Results
The Boppy Pillow is very plush and comfortable for both mom and baby. The shape does provide adequate arm support for mom while feeding baby and using any of the three popular holds. Unfortunately we found that the round shape of the pillow makes it easy for baby to slip and roll towards mom while feeding, especially on smaller women. This held true with the youngest and oldest babies to test the pillow when mom was sitting even slightly back, such as while feeding in bed.
Ease of Use
The structural quality of the Boppy make it very easy to place and remove, even with one hand or while baby is sleeping, which accounts for its 9 of 10 in this category.
We also appreciate that Boppy has never used flame-retardant chemicals as part of its materials in any of its products. The covers used on the Original Boppy are both playful but also soft, liquid repellent and come with an organic option. The materials used for this pillow help it maintain its shape, however the 80% polyster cover and 10% polyester batting in the pillow make the materials a little less desirable.
Ease of Cleaning
One of the things we loved most about the Original Boppy is how easy it is to clean.
For the price of the Boppy and its high scores for ease of use, ease of cleaning, and how it well it holds up over time, this is a pillow we can recommend to consumers. We also like the promise to avoid harmful chemicals in the fabrics as well as the variety of covers to help the pillow to feel more personal. However, if you are looking to nurse for a longer period of time you may want something more supportive such as the Boppy Nursing Pillow, Blessed Nest, or My Brest Friend Deluxe.
