Our Analysis

The Stokke Baby Set is an accessory for their highly regarded Tripp Trapp High Chair. We recommend purchasing the Baby Set if you plan to use the Tripp Trapp high chair with an infant. Toddlers are fine with the 5-point harness included with the chair.

The Baby Set another level of support for young babies with its backrest and baby rail, and is made with an easy-to-clean, dishwasher-safe material. Some parents have reported difficulty with getting the baby in and out of this additional seat, however, if the seat is installed correctly the problem seemed to have disappeared. One Amazon reviewer explained that, "once she studied the instruction manual, going over all the steps with a fine tooth comb, [she] finally saw in tiny, tiny print that there must be at least a 2 inch gap between the baby's knees and the edge of the bottom board where the baby sits. This small detail is key to getting your baby in and out of the seat without tears and contortions."
