Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. Legacy ReviewPrice: $180.00 List | $164.99 at Amazon - 8% off
Pros: Beautiful design with thoughtful features, multi-use, heavy duty hardware
Cons: Heavy, slouchy shape, expensive
Bottom line: A favorite among our team, multi-functional, stylish, and easy use as a breast pump bag
Although the Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. Legacy is not a bag initially designed to hold a breast pump, it did the job well. It was the favorite bag we tested among all the moms we encountered. They loved its polka dot pattern, gold metal hardware, and the light colored satin fabric interior. Its easy convertible carrying options (from handbag/briefcase, to backpack, to shoulder bag) was an added bonus and we found it fit all of the necessities for both pumping and work nicely. While it was one of the more expensive bags we tested, we loved it and think moms who want a fun and stylish bag to carry all of their things in will love it too.

Our Analysis and Hands-on Test Results
Everywhere we went the Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. Legacy got attention. Moms and dads praised its style and fell in love further when we showed them the interior. While built to be a diaper bag, the Legacy actually makes a decent breast pump bag as well. It fit the three pumps we tested and their accessories well. Things did get a little tricky when we tried to fit in our additional personal items, but the many compartments within the Legacy addressed just about every concern.
Ease of Use
This was a relatively easy bag to use, which is why we awarded it a score of 7 of 10 in this category. With three carrying options (handbag/briefcase, shoulder bag, or backpack) moms can easily configure the bag to a mode of transport they desire for the day. Since it doesn't have a specialized pump storage compartment, we just stored the pumps in the large main pocket, and because the zipper extends all the way to the bottom of the bag, it made setting up for pumping a breeze. There was no digging for parts and we could leave the pump right in the bag if desired. Clean up was just as quick and easy.
The Legacy was one of the heavier bags we tested. At 2 lbs. 10 oz. it outweighed every other bag in the competition with the exception of the Ness Mamie. We attribute the majority of this extra weight to the heavy metal fixtures. Also, because it is a fabric bag, it does not have a lot of structure. Consequently it takes the shape of whatever is in it. We found some items would add bulges and bulkiness to the bag, which we think could pose a problem when trying to navigate tight spaces. We awarded it one of the lowest scores for this category, a 4 of 10.
Loaded with great features, this bag received a high score at 8 of 10 in this category. Some of the features include: AgION antimicrobial treatment of the bag, removable shoulder and backpack straps, five exterior pockets (two zip closures and three open slots), memory-foam changing pad, stroller clip compatibility, machine wash option, a bungee cord key ring, eyeglass cleaning cloth (genius!) and a plethora of interior pockets to store change, a photo or other loose items.
As we mentioned earlier, this bag received the most attention of all the bags we tested. It combines three of the hottest trends on the market: a backpack, polka dots, and gold hardware, which is why we awarded it a high score of 8 of 10 in this category.
This is a great multi-use bag that we think moms will love. While it might be too "cute" to carry in a very professional office, it definitely would work well as a diaper bag or method to carry a breast pump in a more informal setting. We think moms will appreciate the many carrying options it offers, particularly when it is used as a backpack as it becomes hardly noticeable and comfortably balanced which is a nice option for moms that may have to carry their personal effects long distances.
The B.F.F. Legacy was among the more expensive bags we tested, but we think it is well worth the higher price tag. The many accessories it includes and its ability to be used for many different purposes could eliminate the need to buy both a bag for your breast pump and a diaper bag. The fact that it is machine washable is an added bonus which makes cleanup a breeze should the bag begin to look a little worn.
We loved the Ju-Ju-Be. It had consistently high reviews by other moms online and in person. We think its fun style and ease of use make it a great option for moms who want a bag that can keep up with the busy lifestyle they lead.

We invite you to skim through this long You Tube review video featuring the B.F.F. Legacy in The First Lady. It goes through its use as a diaper bag but really touches upon the plethora of organizational space this nicely made, easy to clean, and very useful bag provides.
