Our Analysis

These cool sunglasses made especially for infants and toddlers protect baby's eyes 100% from harmful UVA, B, and C rays. Children's eyes don't have the kind of protective pigments and anatomy that adults' do, so they are especially sensitive to the sun. Ultraviolet rays reach us even through the shade, sand, concrete, clouds, snow and water, so babies can benefit from wearing these hip Julbo shades whenever they're outside.

The Julbo Looping Sunglasses are available in 3 different sizes with a reversible frame that help to keep sunglasses in place: Looping 1 (0-18 months); Looping 2 (12-24 months); and Looping 3 (ages 2-4). These uniquely designed sunglasses, which come in a large variety of color combinations, are flexible, shock-resistant and tough enough to endure lots of use; the Optical 1, polycarbonate, non-polarized dark lenses are defined as Category 4, which allow for only 5% of visible light to pass through them.

Little ones may fight for you to put on any pair of sunglasses, especially as they get older and struggle for their independence, but with the reversible (you can put them on right side up, or upside down), flexible, nylon frames, you can't put these on wrong. They also come with a fitted keeper strap and carry bag to help with their staying on and safe when not in use.

We think the Julbo Infant/Toddler Looping Sunglasses make it easier to get kids used to wearing sunglasses early on in life, which is critical for keeping their eyes healthy and intact. We recommend getting kids very comfortable with wearing toxin-free sunscreen whenever outside, too, in order to protect their sensitive skin from UV damage. And if you can keep a sunhat on your child as well, more power to you! (Actually, this is good advice for everyone, children and adults alike).
