Available in a variety of lively colors as well as white, the Crane Drop Cool Mist Humidifier is an attractive addition to any room while keeping the air cool and moist. Moisture in the air helps to relieve the discomfort of winter dryness, which often leads to nasal congestion, sore throat, chapped lips, and/or itchy skin. It's especially upsetting to hear your baby in pain from being all stuffed up, and can become dangerous if baby's congestion starts to block air passageways. Avoiding and tempering baby's congestion will allow you and your baby to sleep better during the day and night. This full and strong mist humidifer releases 2.3 gallons of moisture per day and operates more efficiently in smaller spaces like a bedroom.

Reviewers who understand how to use the humidifier by following the instruction manual have the most success and positive experiences with it.

Caring for the Humidifer

Crane, the manufacturer, advises that users follow a few easy procedures to ensure the health and longevity of the system: "Remove the water tank from the unit, unscrew the tank cap, and fill the water tank under a water faucet. Securely replace the tank cap, making sure the rubber cap seal is in place, and place the water tank back onto the unit. Place the humidifier on an elevated surface and set it to a medium output setting for comfortable room humidification." They also recommend using distilled or filtered water, or a Crane demineralization filter.

As far as cleaning the humidifier goes, Crane advises, "emptying the water in the basin daily, making sure you pour away from the fan air-outlet. Disinfect the water basin and tank weekly by using a white vinegar and fresh water solution, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse. For convenience, the Crane Descaler solution HS-1933 is also available. It is important to disinfect and dry completely before storage."
