Performance Comparison
Baby's Comfort
The supportive structure of this wrap helps increase the comfort for the baby as it wraps and holds them from all sides. The slight stretchiness of the fabric provides a snug but not restrictive fit providing good 360 support to little ones helping them feel secure. The fabric is soft, but the all-around restriction of the fabric may be frustrating for some older babies who may want more freedom of movement.
Parent's Comfort
The Moby is relatively comfortable, and the lack of structure is what helps the wide swathes of fabric cover more area for less pressure on a small surface. The design of the Moby means you can make adjustments as necessary for a custom fit and it works well for all sorts of body types. Unfortunately, the layering of the fabric means you could end up with 2-3 layers of fabric on your body as you hold your baby close. This design translates to a lot of trapped heat and potential overheating for the wearer. While this could be an advantage in the winter or fall, it could be a serious disadvantage in the summer on outdoor adventures.
Ease of Use
This carrier is one of the more difficult options to figure out, and even once you do become familiar with the different wraps, it still takes more time and energy to put it on each time. First, the fabric is long and can be arduous to wrap. Second, you have to hold your baby to put them in while you are flipping the fabric around. Last, even after you manage all this, you can still end up with a long trailing piece of fabric hanging from your back and getting in the way. In short, there are a lot of instructions and once you get it on you'll still need to readjust your clothes.
Ease of Cleaning
The entire thing being machine washable and tumbles to dry making it one of the easiest options to clean. Being able to throw a carrier in the dryer is rare, and it is a huge benefit because it means less downtime with no carrier. The Moby is also easy to clean on the go should you little one spit up or have a blowout. A quick scrub in a sink and air drying will let you stay on the go with only a short interruption.
