Our Analysis

Motherlove Diaper Balm is made with 96% certified organic ingredients (by Oregon Tilth). Made of extra virgin olive oil, beeswax, Oregon grape root, and myrrh gum, yarrow herb, and calendula flower, it does not contain either zinc or petroleum products and is cloth diaper safe. With antibacterial and antifungal properties, this balm is geared toward common diaper rash. While it is also marketed for use on nipples, we recommend Motherlove Nipple Cream when nursing.

Keep in mind that this is a natural diaper cream and as such has a limited shelf life. We recommend storing it in the refrigerator for prolonged use. Also, if your baby's rash is getting worse with any over the counter diaper cream, discontinue use and seek the advice of your baby's medical team.
